About Us

We opened the doors of the Ceann Sibéal Hotel in July 2004 and since then we have been welcoming guests from all over the world. We are a family run hotel and our small staff of 25 takes great pride in making sure our guests have the most comfortable and relaxing stay.
We have 26 tasteful bedrooms to offer our guests, many of which have the most stunning views of the surrounding area. We have also sourced a collection of wonderful paintings from local artists to reflect the beauty of the surrounding area. Our bar and restaurant serve a menu to cater for a range of tastes and we offer live music at weekends and during the week in peak season.

We open in February each year specifically for “Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh” a traditional Irish music festival and then we open for the season at Easter until late October each year. While with us you can enjoy beach walks on the beautiful Béal Bán beach (a ten minute stroll from the hotel), surfing and other water sports, a visit to the local museum or nearby heritage sites, a round of golf on the nearby links golf course (5 minute drive), cycling, horse riding and much more. Pay a visit to the inspiring Blasket Islands and finish your evening with a delicious meal and even a night of traditional music in our bar. Take a look at our activities page for more ideas.

About Ballyferriter village

Ballyferriter village / Baile an Fheirtearaigh or ‘an Bhuailtín’ as it’s known locally is a gaeltacht village in the west of the Corca Dhuibhne peninsula. We are located just west of Dingle town in a stunning green valley between the hill of Croaghmarhin to the south and the beautiful Sybil Head and the Three Sisters to the north. The majority of the local people speak Irish on a daily basis and students come from far and wide to study the language. In the village you’ll find a church, a shop, a Gárda barracks, a school, a museum with a bookshop and café, pottery shops, three pubs and of course the Ceann Sibéal Hotel. 2016 was an exciting year for the village when we were visited by the Star Wars crew to film our beautiful Ceann Sibéal headland for the next Star Wars film, due to be released in late 2017. Ballyferriter primary school next door to us even got a visit from Chewbacca straight from the set of Star Wars.

We hope to see you soon at the Ceann Sibéal Hotel.
